From the event info: Choices is once again joining forces with the Family Action Network of Lake County, Indiana, Inc., One Community One Family, and the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction for The 11th Annual Indiana Systems of Care Conference: A Family Af-Fair! The conference is coming May 17, 2012, to the Indianapolis Marriott East. We’re also pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker – Charlie Appelstein, M.S.W. Charlie is a nationally prominent youth care specialist and author who focuses on youth… Show more with serious emotional and behavioral problems. His expertise and approach is a perfect fit for our conference. You asked and we listened. This year’s conference will feature even more family friendly content and activities, along with the same great learning experiences for those who serve youth. Visitors to last year’s conference enjoyed the new format, so be ready for more great extended sessions and that same great variety of breakout sessions. May 17th will also mark the return of the Jessica McCarthy Award for Excellence in Wraparound. During our 2011 conference, we honored Joyce Lark, a Bowen Center Parent Advocate in Marshall County, for exemplifying the values and principles of wraparound. In a true testament to Indiana’s statewide system of care, we received nominations from all regions of the state.
