• Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law by Richard Rothstein and Leah Rothstein. In the follow up to the ground-breaking Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America, the authors cite the mortgage lending work of the FHCCI.
• The Danger Zone Is Everywhere: How Housing Discrimination Harms Health and Steals Wealth by George Lipsitz. In this book, the author highlights the work of the FHCCI in challenging alleged bias in appraisals.
• Lessons from Eviction Court: How We Can End Our Housing Crisis by Fran Quigley. This book cites the work of the FHCCI as it relates to out-of-state investors in the Central Indiana single-family market.

• Our America: Lowballed by Julian Glover and Mark Nichols. This award-winning documentary takes a deep dive into appraisal bias including referencing the work of the FHCCI.

  • In 2025, a news story by The New York Times highlighted fair housing funding challenges and the impact on the FHCCI.
  • In 2018, a news story by The New York Times referenced an investigation by the FHCCI into rent-to-own transactions.
