Indiana Needs a Hate Crime Law Press Conference

Calling all journalists, media, and supporters of a hate crime law being passed in Indiana! Indiana remains one of only five states which has not passed a hate crime law to adequately provide justice for those targeted and harmed.

The Central Indiana Alliance Against Hate (“Alliance”) will be joining other concerned citizens and organizations to host a press conference on the General Assembly’s Organization Day (Tuesday, November 21, 2017). Its purpose is to raise needed attention to our lack of hate crime law and demand state legislators pass a law during the 2018 General Assembly. The press conference will take place in the south atrium of the Indiana State Capitol/Statehouse on the second floor between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.

We need your attendance to show support of a hate crime law being passed in our Hoosier state! Speakers and an agenda for the press conference will be announced soon. Attendees are free to attend to show support. Please bring signs!

An ASL interpreter will be available at this event.

(Please note: The Central Indiana Alliance Against Hate is a project of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana.)
