Indiana Alliance Against Hate

In 2017, the Central Indiana Alliance Against Hate was launched as a project of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana through receipt of a $125,000 “Communities Against Hate” rapid-response grant by the Open Society Foundations. This funding initiative was a national competition awarding a total of $3 million in funds nationwide.

In 2018, the name of the Alliance was changed from the Central Indiana Alliance Against Hate to the Indiana Alliance Against Hate to better reflect its membership, and a founding Board of Directors was established who voted to incorporate the Indiana Alliance Against Hate as a nonprofit organization independent of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana and seek 501(c)3 tax exemption.

The Indiana Alliance Against Hate now has a website at www.nohateindiana.org, where you can learn more about hate crimes, hate-based incidents, and what is being done in Indiana to combat them.
